Cabernet anyone?

Well my experience with Cabernets are mixed to date. The two that were reasonable in my mind are the following:

Chateau St Jean of California
Cabernet Sauvignon
2006

Spellbound
Cabernet Sauvignon
2005

The former is quite delicious and a buy when in the mood for a Cab, however the Spellbound is good only for its price (~$11). I would buy both again, indeed I have, but my vote is with the Chateau.

Chianti's are for the Italians

I must say that my recient favorites have been the Chianti's of Italy! Here is a list of the wines that I have had (not so) recently for posterity and my own memory. These both are from Tomaiolo of Italy


Chianti Classico
Denominazione Di Origine Controllata E Garantita
Riserva 2000
and
Riserva 2003

These two are a definite buy again for any occasion.
